About

On this page you will find information about this site learncf.com and the related technologies and companies.

learncf.com

The website learncf.com was setup to enable people who are interested in ColdFusion to learn everything about it. The website was designed to bring together all the tutorials that are authored and generally posted on Blogs.

Each tutorial will:

  1. Work stand alone
  2. Use the standard ColdFusion demo databases if databases are used
  3. Be downloadable as a .zip file
  4. Will have a link to see the code running

Aiming to provide a completely free service that will be of high quality and updated frequently.

Don't forget to visit our sister sites flexcf.com and cfmldocs.com.

Not For Profit

This is a 100% not for profit site, all work and hosting for this site is provided for free by the operators. Any revenue generated by advertising or other means will be used to purchase prizes for the authors.

ColdFusion

ColdFusion was first released in 1995 by Allaire, it was then aquired by Macromedia. Macromedia was then aquired by Adobe and provides Adobe with a web application infrastructure. ColdFusion is known for it's rich feature set and speed of development. Unlike other similar technologies, ColdFusion trivialises tasks such as PDF creation, DB interatction, Webservices and much more.

Adobe

Adobe is one of the worlds largest software companies, they write a lot of great software and I use a lot of it. Products I use include: ColdFusion, DreamWeaver, Acrobat, Flash, Flex, FireWorks, PhotoShop, Illustrator and Contribute.
